We undertake rating appeals for Marks & Spencer throughout Ireland.
Following the recent Rating Revaluation in South Dublin, the Valuation Office assessed the company’s store in Tallaght at €1,176,000 Rateable Value (RV).
We thought this was excessive and appealed. Our negotiations with the Valuation Office were unsuccessful and we lodged an appeal with the Valuation Tribunal in Dublin.
Working with Senior Counsel Owen Hickey, Tom Maclynn presented evidence to the Tribunal and the assessment was reduced to €930,000 RV, saving Marks & Spencer over €500,000 in rates.
